MELBOURNE: The former general manager of Franke Australia, Tim Carter, has joined air conditioner company Airwell as general manager responsible for the company’s Australian and New Zealand operations.

Carter takes over from John Shewan who retired as managing director of Airwell in September after many years in the industry.

“There are many challenges facing the air conditioning industry – distribution channels, margins and product value all are critical components for success” Carter said.

“As a major global manufacturer to the industry, this support enables the further development of the Airwell product through our business partners” he said in a statement.

Carter resigned from Franke in April after five and half years with the company.
