ADELAIDE: Memory product supplier, Legend, has announced the newest addition to its product line-up, the Baby Boom Box, a portable music player which combines the traditional Boom Box form factor with the functionality of a digital music player.

Essentially a portable speaker unit with mp3 capabilities, the Baby Boom Box (RRP $249) supports both mp3 and wma music formats and features an FM radio, built-in speakers, internal memory and a SD/MMC card reader, up to 15 hours playback and a Li-ion rechargeable battery.

The two 2.1 channel speakers housed inside the ‘hot dog’ shaped exterior both feature an FM and line-in record function and are compatible with iPods and other mp3 players.

The Baby Boom Box is available in black or white and provides multiple options for consumers to store their music such as the 512MB internal memory or on SD or MMC cards via the memory card reader.

Distribution details for the Baby Boom Box are yet to be finalised.
