SYDNEY: Smeg has announced the release of two semi-commercial gas cooktops specifically designed to be flush-mounted in stone and composite-stone benchtops.

The two new Smeg cooktops, the 72cm PGFA75FSC (RRP $1,899) and the 87cm PGFA95FSC (RRP $2,199) both feature five gas burners, cast iron trivets, automatic electronic ignition and an all satin stainless steel hob.

The PGFA75FSC includes front-mounted controls, an ultra-rapid 15mj per hour wok burner, two 6mj per hour semi-rapid burners and two 4.8mj per hour auxiliary burners.

While the larger, PGFA95FSC, has side-mounted controls, an ultra-rapid 15mj per hour wok burner, three 6mj per hour semi-rapid burners and a 4.8mj per hour auxiliary burner.

Each burner is fitted with a flame failure device while each control features clear polycarbonate over stainless steel knobs, with both cooktops being LPG adaptable.

Both cooktops are available nationally from electrical retailers, specialist appliance outlets and some department stores.
