BRISBANE: Betta Stores Limited (BSL) general manager – retail, David Hazell has resigned after five years with the company.

A statement issued by BSL CEO Guy Houghton to the group’s retailers, staff and suppliers has flagged an upcoming restructure of the company in the near future following Hazell’s departure.

“It is with sadness that I advise the resignation of David Hazell from his position of general manager – retail. David has decided that it is now time to move on and after discussions with him I have supported his decision,” Houghton said.

“As many of you who have had the privilege of working with David will attest he has contributed greatly to the company over the past five years and will be missed not only for that contribution but also his humour.

“I will be announcing a restructure of the department in the coming weeks however until that time please refer any related issues to either Ian Mursell or myself.

“I am sure you will join me in thanking David and wishing him well in the future.”
