Hot product at Hong Kong Electronics Fair.

Multifunctionality continues to be a key trend in the benchtop appliance category with a number of manufacturers showcasing all-in-one kitchen machines to potential buyers at the Hong Kong Fair last week.

A stand-out kitchen machine was the Cooking plus Machine manufactured by Airlux with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality for e-recipes and auto-programming. Step-by-step guides are featured on the app that is compatible with both iOS and Android. It has a patented heating system and fuzzy heating plate separated from the dishwasher safe cooking bowl.  It features a large LED display, multiple timer and speed settings, detachable stainless steel cutting blade and low speed stir. It can cook, steam, emulsify, puree, grind, chop, crush ice, knead, mix and stir.

Another show-stopper was the multi-functional meat grinder from Gabaier that can perform up to 15 functions with its unique patented technology. It can mince, slice, shred, grind, slow juice, blend, as well as make noodles, cookies, sausages, ice cream, milkshakes, juices, soups, sauces and smoothies. The attachments include a 1.5 litre glass jar with lid, aluminium tray, food pusher, sausage adapter, kibbe attachment, feeding chute, stainless steel biscuit maker and precision cutting blades for fine, medium and coarse levels.
