The Good Guys has confirmed with Appliance Retailer that it will commence an international non-deal roadshow on Monday. The company will visit prospective investors in London, the US and Asia over a two-week period.
The roadshow kicks off less than one week after JB Hi-Fi and Steinhoff International submitted offers.
Steinhoff uses an internal corporate development team to run its acquisition strategy but is believed to have engaged local legal and accounting advisers for The Good Guys, according to an article in The Australian.
Sources said while the trade sale option remained live, that leg of the auction was on hold with management offshore for the next fortnight, the article said.
JB Hi-Fi is awaiting clearance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), with a decision due August 4.
