Miele has announced a refresh of its entry-level dishwasher range, with additions to its existing G 5000 series, and the introduction of the new G 4000 series. The additions include freestanding, built-under, integrated and fully integrated models, and are available in white and CleanSteel (fingerprint resistant) finishes, with black and white fascias also available on integrated models.
The new G 4000 and G 5000 dishwashers feature at least 6 separate washing programs, including SensorWash and a half-hour QuickWash programme, as well as a Turbo function that reduces washing and drying times.
The models boast improved water efficiency (up to 4.5 star WELS rating in some instances) and offer a 14 place-setting capacity with adjustable upper basket height and a lower basket that can be reconfigured to suit different dishes.
The G 5000 dishwashers feature Perfect GlassCare technology which ensure thorough cleaning of delicate glassware, giving the models the tick of approval from boutique glassware manufacturer Riedel. They also offer a DetergentAgent function that adjusts the wash cycle to the detergent used, and an easy-to-use ComfortClose door.
According to a Miele spokesperson, “Miele’s G 4000 and G 5000 dishwashers provide discerning consumers, designers and specifiers with a plethora of choices designed to complement any well-made kitchen”. And thanks to their sound output of 48 dB, “the perceived operating noise from the new models is only marginally louder than the rustling of leaves in a gentle breeze”.
