MELBOURNE, VIC: TEAC has announced the release of four new DAB+ digital radio models. There are three designs across the range, with one available in two colours: black and white.
According to a statement from the supplier, the four new digital radios provide much better sound quality than analogue radios, and include new features specifically for the TEAC digital radio range.
“Each gives impressive high fidelity audio [compared to] its analogue cousin as well as the option of several pre-set DAB+/FM stations and, like other digital radios, is more resistant to noise and co-channel interference,” said a TEAC spokesperson.
The TEAC DAB100W (RRP $179) is a desktop digital radio with the option of 10 preset DAB+ and FM stations. This white model has auto-tuning and a LCD backlight display, for both DAB+ and FM; a clock; and sleep and alarm functions.
Additional featured include an auto-time update, a headphone socket, telescopic antennae, scrolling text information and battery use option.
The more portable DAB400B and DAB400W models (RRP $229) are available in black or white. These stereo radios have the same features of the DAB100W, but with a handle for carrying.
The DAB800W (RRP $299) is a table top DAB+ radio. This model features presets for eight DAB+ and eight FM stations, its larger size allows for an LCD display.
All four models have a 12-month warranty and will be available in November.
