While consumers are hitting the stores for Christmas shopping, most manufacturer’s are already thinking about 2012 and the key buying periods it will bring. First off the rank in terms of appliance sales is Mother’s Day, with plenty of food prep, personal care and small appliance products set to be launched into the marketplace for March 2012.

Russell Hobbs launched its product range today, showcasing a collection of new toasters, kettles and food prep appliances that will hit stores next year, including Harvey Norman, Target, The Good Guys and Big W to name a few.

The new range includes a collection of pop colour kettles and toasters in metallic finishes, a series of slick glass-finished appliances with touch controls and more traditional food preparation products such as food processors and stick mixers.

Speaking about the new range, Russell Hobbs product manager Joshua Dickens said he expected 2012 to be a big year thanks to the new products.

“The response from retailers so far is that the range is going to go well,” he said. “Russell Hobbs is a traditional English brand, and we’re still trying to stick to that traditional look, but we’re also modernising the brand.”

As a part of the launch, Russell Hobbs will be promoting its range with an all expenses-paid trip for two to London, flying business class. Consumers who purchase any product from the Russell Hobbs range will be eligible to win.
