The 2008 Australian Retailers Association Awards will be held tomorrow night in Sydney with JB Hi-Fi competing for the most prestigious award on offer.
The consumer electronics retailer is nominated for the 2008 ARA Retailer of the Year Award. This accolade “recognises outstanding excellence in a number of areas, including visual merchandising, customer service, staff training and product selection,” according to the ARA.
To win the award tomorrow night, JB Hi-Fi must overcome the formidable competition of David Jones, Noni B, Rebel Sport, Supercheap Auto, Sussan, The Reject Shop and Woolworths. From this list, it is evident that JB Hi-Fi is the only consumer electronics retail chain nominated for this honour in 2008.
The awards will be presented tomorrow night in Sydney at the Argyle in the Rocks. Other awards that will presented at this event are the Independent Retailer award, Retail Innovation award and Young Retailer of the Year.
