SYDNEY: Samsung Electronics Australia today launched its latest mp3 player, the U3, giving consumers the ability to create and customise their musical preferences.
“Consumers want their music devices to reflect their individuality and preferences, and the U3 mp3 player delivers a one-two punch of features and good looks,” said Samsung product manager – digital AV, Sagar Dave.
“As mp3 players get smaller, we continue to adapt our technology and design to ensure that we give consumers what they are looking for, such as a screen and flash memory for storing files.”
The super-compact U3 (RRP $119) follows on from the successful U2 mp3 player, and comes in a wide-range of colours and features a slide-out USB connection and plug and play functionality – removing the need to install additional software such as Apple’s iTunes.
Based on Samsung’s proprietary Digital Natural Sound engine audio enhancement technology, the U3 features 3D acoustics for true-to-life sound, customisable equaliser settings and 12 preset options.
Samsung has just one U3 model with 2GB memory capacity, FM Radio, voice recorder, portable file storage and a rechargeable battery with PC USB connection allow for 15 hours playback.
The U3 also features a four line OLED display and a removable belt clip to allow for further portability.
