Yamaha is rolling out the next phase of its soundbar technology, which offers the most comprehensive yet simple entertainment experience developed by the brand to date.
True X delivers Dolby Atmos surround sound and transforms the wireless rear speakers into portable Bluetooth speakers at the touch of a button.
The full True X system encompasses the SR-X50A soundbar and wireless subwoofer, complemented with dual WS-X1A True X wireless speakers which deliver surround left and surround right channels.
The True X soundbar features a six-speaker configuration that includes front left and right racetrack drivers, two height speakers and dual built-in subwoofers. For a deeper bass response, the soundbar comes with a wireless 100-watt subwoofer.
With the flexible placement of the portable True X wireless speakers, users can experience surround sound with overhead localisation from the 4.1.2 channel configuration. For added versatility, the True X rear speakers can be used as individual Bluetoothspeakers with a press of the ‘Solo Mode’ button.
The wireless speakers boast a battery life of up to 12 hours and can be charged with USB Type C connection, or via the dedicated CC-T1A charging terminal (sold separately).
The True X soundbar can be used with online music streaming services, including Spotify and Amazon Music, and is Alexa-enabled for voice commands. It is also equipped with AirPlay 2 functionality and four sound modes: movie, stereo, standard and game to optimise the sound quality according to the specific content. A Bass Extension function enhances bass in content lacking a full low end.
The WS-X1A True X surround speakers are compact, yet fully utilise Yamaha’s advanced audio expertise, including Clear Voice, which makes it easier to hear spoken voices and dialogue. The design allows the speaker to blend in with any interior, while offering an IP67 dust and water resistance rating.

The True X soundbar including the True X subwoofer will be available in Q3 2023 for RRP $1,299. The True X wireless speakers will be available to purchase separately for RRP $229.
