SYDNEY: Samsung Electronics Australia today announced the appointment of three new managers within the telecommunications, information technology and service divisions.
According to a statement issued this morning, Samsung said the new additions bring a wide range of technology industry and management experience to the local subsidiary.
Appointed to the position of senior product manager – telecommunications products, David Kelly has 22 years experience in the telecommunications industry with knowledge in both the fixed and mobile sectors.
“Prior to Samsung Australia, David worked at Vodafone where he was Devices Portfolio Manager – Sales Division – across Australia, Japan, Kenya and the UK. In his new role, David will be responsible for managing and implementing strategy around Samsung’s telecommunications product portfolio; ensuring regulatory compliance and working with carriers on specific products,” the statement said.
Greg Wallis has been appointed national printer manager – information technology division and has 22 years experience in the printer and information technology industries.
Before his new position at Samsung, Wallis worked at Kyocera Mita Australia as a regional sales manager. Previous to Kyocera, he held positions at Fuji Xerox, Ricoh Australia Pty Ltd, Office Products and Innovations Pty Ltd and Epson. At Samsung, Wallis will manage the overall printer sales activities of the organisation to increase sales and market share of the business unit.
Samsung has appointed Geoffrey Bent as general manager – service division. Bent has 25 years experience in the consumer electronics service and operations, and previously worked at Phillips Electronics as national operations manager.
“As General Manager, Geoffrey will manage the overall function of the Service Division. He will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies and procedures relating to service that aligns with Samsung’s business objectives,”
