SYDNEY: Lexar is celebrating its 10th anniversary of developing and delivering flash memory cards for the digital photography, consumer electronics, industrial and communications markets.
Established in 1996, and together with Micron technology who recently acquired the company, Lexar has developed and marketed new technologies which have helped maintain the growth seen in the professional and consumer digital imaging markets.
“Since our earliest days we have consistently focused on providing our customers with the most reliable, high-performance digital imaging products possible,” said Lexar vice president – marketing, Leslie Adams.
“We remain committed to this goal as our business evolves and we embrace new and exciting opportunities and capitalize on the growing need for high-capacity, removable and portable flash storage in other products such as mobile phones, PDAs and handheld gaming devices.”
Since formed in 1996, Lexar has introduced products such as high-speed and high-capacity memory cards and USB flash drives as well as flash card readers.
In early 2005, Lexar became the first flash memory company to launch and manage a digital photography website.
Lexar believes it is well positioned to continue its commitment to delivering leading technologies and innovative solutions to consumers, as well as providing strong partnerships, support, and programs to its distribution and retail partners.
