SYDNEY, NSW: Sunbeam is using the Melbourne Good Food and Wine show to promote its manual coffee machine philosophy, in addition to showcasing its foodsaver products and small appliance range, according to CEO David Jackson.

Running currently through until Sunday 6 June 2010, the Good Food and Wine Show invites members of the public, potential consumers and tyre kickers to experience a range of foodstuffs, potent potables and cooking equipment. Also displaying their wares at the show are Breville, Fisher & Paykel and Ilve, amongst others.

At the centre of Sunbeam’s exhibit is the promotion of its eponymous Academy, which was established to promote the purchasing and utilisation of Sunbeam products. Integral to this academy is manual coffee preparation, with Sunbeam the most vocal proponent of the manual coffee experience.

“The Sunbeam Academy at The Good Food and Wine Show is a fun way to involve consumers in demonstrating the superior results they can achieve with Sunbeam products,” Jackson said.

“Sunbeam has scoured the country to recruit the crème de la crème of experts to teach at the Academy, and consumers have responded well with most sessions already sold out.”

Despite not taking the opportunity to use ‘crema’ in a play on words, Jackson highlighted how the presence of Australian Latte Art Champion Erin Sampson is at the show, teaching consumers how to best prepare coffee to achieve the ultimate crema finish.

Also at the stand is Angela Muscat, Sunbeam’s resident home economist, who is helping consumers get the most out of their appliances.
