Tineco anticipates continued growth in the floorcare category in 2024, driven by an increasing focus on healthy and hygienic lifestyles.
“Consumers seek smart, time-saving cleaning solutions as life becomes busier and more dynamic,” Tineco International general manager, Romeo Luo told Appliance Retailer.
“While the volume of the vacuum cleaner category may experience narrow growth or a small decline in quantity, the value will undoubtedly grow, reflecting consumers’ prioritisation of quality, innovation, and brand reputation.”
This trend follows a shift in consumer preferences towards floorcare products which emphasise usability and minimal maintenance in 2023. “Over the last 12 months, demand for versatile, eco-friendly, energy-efficient, and smart-controlled options has risen significantly.”
Other notable trends include the integration of steaming functions into wet-dry vacuums, demonstrated by the popularity of the Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 Steam model in Australia, which uses high-temperature steam (140°C) for floor sanitisation without the need for chemical detergents, aligning with the growing demand for environmentally conscious solutions.
“There’s also a rising preference for multi-functional cleaners, exemplified by our FLOOR ONE S5 Combo, which is a wet-dry vacuum and hand vacuum two-in-one model, designed to handle both wet and dry cleaning on multiple surfaces.”

Despite softer market conditions, Tineco remains optimistic about meeting consumer demands through versatile floorcare appliances. “The positive consumer response to our innovative wet and dry vacuum range has strengthened our brand reputation as a floorcare leader in Australia.”
Tineco is focusing on strategic partnerships, targeted marketing initiatives, and continuous product innovation with a product roadmap that keeps convenience, eco-friendly options, and ease of use at the forefront.
“Our proactive approach involves partnering with leading retailers across the country and introducing a suite of new products to the market. These offerings are designed to make our customers’ lives easier, aligning with their evolving needs,” Luo said.
Tineco recognises the importance of ongoing communication with its retail partners and is committed to product training sessions and co-branded marketing campaigns, as well as offering content via webinars, in-store demonstrations and educational materials.
Tineco has just launched the FLOOR ONE S6 PRO EXTREME, a smart vacuum and floor washer in one to clean up wet or dry mess. Its unique MHCBS system features a scraper that holds tightly against the brush roller to clear away debris and squeeze out dirty water inside to ensure a clean brush roller every time. A self-cleaning cycle deep-cleans the brush roller and tubing for hands-free maintenance. After cleaning, centrifugal drying effectively removes excess water.
In addition, proprietary Tineco iLoop Smart Sensor detects mess and automatically adjusts suction power, roller speed, and water levels accordingly, improving cleaning efficiency and battery runtime.
Tineco is also introducing the FLOOR ONE S7 Steam cordless steam cleaner offering up to 40 minutes of cordless cleaning in auto mode or up to 20 minutes in steaming mode. Its multi-step self-cleaning system uses fresh washer and heated steam to deep-clean the brush roller and tubing, along with centrifugal drying that effectively removes water to prevent recontamination.
