First unveiled at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked in January, the latest Galaxy S24 series is now available for purchase from the Samsung Australia website, as well as retail and telco partners.
The new Samsung Galaxy S24 series saw a double-digit increase in pre-order sales compared to its predecessor with over 65% of Australian and global consumers opting for the most premium Galaxy S24 Ultra.
“The launch of the Galaxy S24 series harnesses the power of AI to usher in a generational shift in smartphones,” Samsung Electronics Australia head of mobile experience, Eric Chou said.
“Designed to be an essential part of our daily lives, the S24 series will change the way Australian’s interact with the world. By simplifying communication, enhancing organisation, and transforming online search, we strive to ultimately empower users with a smarter, more intuitive smartphone experience.”

AI is at the forefront of the user experience on the Galaxy S24 series, from communication with intelligent text and call translations to creative freedom with Galaxy’s ProVisual Engine, to setting a new standard for search that will change how Galaxy users discover the world.
With Live Translate is possible to chat with colleagues from abroad or book a reservation while on vacation thanks to two-way, real-time voice and text translations of phone calls within the native Phone app; no third-party apps are required.
Live conversations can be instantly translated on a split-screen view with Interpreter to read a text transcription of what another person has said. It works without cellular data or Wi-Fi. For messages and other compatible apps, Chat Assist can help perfect conversational tones to ensure communication sounds as it was intended.
AI built into Samsung Keyboard can also translate messages, emails and more in real-time in 13 languages. Note Assist in Samsung Notes features AI- generated summaries, template creation and cover creation with a brief preview. For voice recordings, even when there are multiple speakers, Transcript Assist uses AI and Speech-to-Text technology to help transcribe, summarise and translate recordings into select languages.
Galaxy S24 is the first Galaxy phone to debut gesture-driven Circle to Search with Google. With a long press on the home button, circle, highlight, scribble on, or tap virtually anything on Galaxy S24’s screen to see search results.
