Italian cooking brand Glem has announced two new cooktops to Australian range: one ceramic and one induction. Both new cooktops are 60-centimetre hobs with four zones.

The induction cooktop has 9-stage cooking settings, digital timers and a built-in child lock. The four hobs are separated into two 2,000-watt zones and two 1,500-watt zones. The sensors can adjust to the size of the pot or pan in use and there is an auto-off function for when the induction compatible cookware is removed.

“Induction is the most advanced electric cooking technology on the market and provides quick and efficient heat,” said a spokesperson. “Glem has designed its induction hob to entice the most discerning cooks, with four cooking zones controlled simply by a touch panel.”

The Glem Induction Hob 60 (GLIND64) is RRP $1,299.

“With four cooking zones in various sizes, the Ceramic Hob allows for different sized pots and pans, plus  an extendable cooking zone for greater flexibility.

“The ribbon element infrared heating technology also works with all non-magnetic saucepans and pots.”
