Twenty-one (21) gadgets, gizmos, time savers and a shaver have been awarded a Good Design Selection badge and will compete to be named the best designed consumer electronics product at the upcoming 2014 Good Design Awards.

Australian audio specialist Røde is the only company with two products selected, while Leap Motion, Livescribe, Braun and Harmon/Kardon are among the big names competing in a category dominated by niche and start-up brands.

The reigning overall champion, Blackmagic, winner of the 2013 Good Design Award of the Year, has maintained its campaign to be a back-to-back winner; the Pocket Cinema Camera is among the finalists.
