Russell Hobbs has announced the rebranding of a range of small appliances in its food prep category, spruiking the minimalist and understated looks of the line-up.

The Russell Hobbs Classics range will now encompassing a series of small appliances finished with brushed stainless steel and black accents, and the new name is designed to appeal to consumers who want to cover the "basics" in the kitchen, according to a spokesperson for the brand.

“If your kitchen is cluttered with too many trendy gadgets like that unused waffle iron and the bread maker that was meant to revolutionise your life, it’s time to get back to basics,” said the spokesperson.

“The Russell Hobbs Classics range of chic and functional kitchen appliances in a stylish brushed stainless steel finish, will not only have your kitchen looking good, but turning out delicious meals too.”

The range includes the Mix Pro bench mixer with 5-litre stainless steel mixing bowl and three mixing tools; the 16-speed Hand Mixer; a Multi Processor chopping blade, dough blade, slicing and grating discs and a 2-litre glass blending jug; a 400-watt Mini Processor; a Stick Mixer and a Blender.
