SYDNEY: LG Electronics has donated a large shipment of residential and commercial air-conditioning products to the Regency Institute of TAFE in South Australia to assist students with hands-on training initiatives.
“Most training facilities struggle to maintain equipment within their college, so LG has taken the positive step to supply Regency Institute of TAFE with current products operating in the industry for students to experiment with and learn from,” said LG Electronics Australia state sales manager – South Australia, Matthew Allen.
The shipment to the TAFE will ensure service engineers, potential project managers and business owners of the future will be properly qualified and trained to install and service the most up-to-date products on the market.
“LG’s product donation initiative will give South Australia’s current and future trainees true hands on experience with current products, allowing them to fully understand what is increasingly being used and specified in today’s competitive marketplace,” said Allen.
LG Electronics was recently named the number one vendor of air-conditioning units worldwide for the seventh consecutive year, shipping a total of 12 million units in 2006 alone.
LG currently runs an Air-Conditioning Academy training facility in the company’s Sydney headquarters, showing the brand’s commitment to training industry service engineers, assessors and business owners on an ongoing basis.
