Earlier this week we revealed the new Inissia range of Nespresso machines, in partnership with De’Longhi and Breville, and today the Swiss capsule coffee supremo has unveiled its new premium offering, the Lattissima Pro.
An update on the Lattissima Premium, co-branded with De’Longhi, the Lat-Pro, as it is known for short, is targeted at consumers that want to be their own barista, and it is the first Nespresso machine to feature a touchscreen.
This machine will only be sold with De’Longhi branding — there is no Breville version — as it incorporates De’Longhi’s patented Instant Frothing Device (IFD). This milk solution means much of De’Longhi’s celebrated ‘one-touch’ functionality for its own automatic coffee machines is transported to the Nespresso capsule system.
“The new Lattissima Pro brings the quality of a professional machine into the home, with its intuitive touchscreen and refined brushed aluminium finish,” said Nespresso Australia commercial manager John Ciaglia. “The new machine allows coffee-lovers to prepare the most indulgent milk recipes at home with a single touch. State of the art milk foaming technology enables anyone to prepare cappuccinos, lattes or warm milk froth suitable for hot beverage recipes.”
The intuitive display on the Lat-Pro guides users through their favourite black and milk-based coffee drinks. The integrated milk solution means flat whites, cappuccinos and macchiatos are only a touchscreen press away, reports Ciaglia.
The 1.2-litre water capacity is enough to make almost 11 lungos, or 48 ristrettos, while the 25-second heat-up time means you never have to wait very long to get your caffeine fix. As part of what is described as “theatrical lighting”, this machine incorporates ice blue LED lighting behind an elegant brushed aluminium finish to add a touch of style to the benchtop.
The new Nespresso Lattissima Pro (EN750) is RRP $899.
