ALICE SPRINGS: Despite an approach by Harvey Norman last week to steal the Resort Getaways promotion, RewardsCorp today announced they will be expanding its Resort Getaways promotion with Retravision to include 100 resorts in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, USA and Asia.
The Resort Getaways promotion provides consumers with a $500 resort cheque with every $500 spent at a Retravision store. A $3,000 purchase provides the consumer with $3,000 in resort cheques which are redeemable to discount holiday packages through selected resorts.
According to RewardsCorp managing director, Randall Deer over 50,000 people have enjoyed holidays booked through the program with more than 100,000 holiday room nights booked to date.
“Of the customers activating their resort cheques, there is an astonishing 83 per cent participation rate. Several customers have enjoyed in excess of 10 holiday bookings and 30 per cent of customers re-book,” Deer said.
“This campaign has enjoyed a 20 per cent redemption rate overall which is much higher than the normal take-up rate which is between one and four per cent. A lot of the customers are coming back which shows this promotion offers good brand awareness and good customer loyalty.
Deer also said that consumers that do not spend over $500 at Retravision for an initial purchase, but accumulate $500 over a three month period, are then eligible for to participate in the promotion.
“The Resort Getaways is unique – it is yours and if used correctly and only given away on GP incremental sales, it is self-liquidating," he said.
Co-branded 15-second television commercials have been developed to provide further momentum to the promotion.
Deer confirmed an unsolicited approach by Harvey Norman as recently as a week ago to take over the Resort Getaways promotion which remains exclusive to Retravision.
