LG Electronics has emerged as a major winner at the 2025 Red Dot Design Awards, bagging 35 recognitions including the Best of the Best title.
The annual design competition, considered one of the world’s top industrial design award programs, recognises design excellence across product innovation, communication, and design concepts.
At the centre of LG’s winning lineup is the LG SIGNATURE OLED T, which received the Best of the Best accolade for its transparent and wireless design. As the world’s first OLED TV that combines transparency with a wireless setup, the 77-inch screen introduces a new approach to display technology.
The TV can switch between transparent and opaque modes with a button press, allowing it to function both as a screen and as part of the room’s background. It features 4K resolution and can operate without visible cables, which means it can be placed more flexibly within a space compared to traditional televisions.
Also recognised at the Red Dot Design Awards was LG’s Self-Driving AI Home Hub, also referred to as Project Q9. The LG FURON-enabled smart home AI agent features the company’s “Affectionate Intelligence” system, designed to navigate the home on its own and interact with users through voice recognition and visual cues.

It features animated digital eyes that reflect different expressions, giving it a more familiar, approachable presence. The Hub can identify individuals, respond to voice commands, and manage connected smart appliances, contributing to a more responsive and interactive home environment.
The home robot received a Red Dot Design Award and also won in the Innovative Design metacategory.
Beyond LG’s two marquee winners, the company also received 32 additional Red Dot awards across multiple product categories. These include home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, TVs, air conditioners, air purifiers, audio products, monitors and commercial robots.
Several of LG’s products have also become dual award winners, having been honoured at both the 2025 iF Design Awards and the Red Dot Awards. These include LG QNED TV, LG StanbyME 2 portable smart touch screen, and LG SIGNATURE refrigerator with Smart InstaView.
“We will continue to push the boundaries of design innovation, leaning into our deep understanding of customers to deliver human-centered innovations in products, solutions and customer experiences,” Chung Wook-jun, Head of the Corporate Design Center at LG Electronics, said.
