Italian department store, La Rinascente, has joined forces with Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg to reproduce the colour, love and vibrancy of a traditional Sicilian market at its Milan and Rome stores ahead of Christmas.
Window displays feature shining illuminations and traditional puppet theatres starring Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in puppet form. Christmas decorations and carousels festoon the stores’ interiors while the markets, recreated inside each store, feature a host of colourful stalls.
The highlight of these stalls is the Dolce & Gabbana garments and accessories, the pinnacle of which is the Sicily is my Love collaboration between Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana.
Smeg’s collection of Sicily is my Love small and major appliances, each featuring colours and motifs of Sicily, will be joined, for the first time, by two new appliances – the four-slice toaster and the slow juicer.
The Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg Christmas celebration concept was designed to unveil a new chapter in the 150 year history of La Rinascente.
