SYDNEY: LG Electronics has introduced the world’s first Photochangeable Air-Conditioner, as part of its successful LG ArtCool Inverter range, which sees consumers able to integrate their own prints or photographs into the air-conditioner itself.

For the first time, consumers can insert a family picture, children’s drawing or any range of printed images, under the transparent front panel of the air-conditioner, while also being to change the image at will.

LG Electronics Australia marketing manager – air-conditioning, Janelle Dilger, believes the new design equips customers with the ability to put their own personal taste and style above all else and could potentially lead to the air-conditioner becoming the room centre-piece.

"By inviting customers to design their own air-conditioner panel LG has transformed the concept of a traditional home appliance. Not only does it offer superior cooling technology, the new Picture-Frame Air-conditioner is now an aesthetically interesting element to the home.

“LG has maintained the leadership position in air-conditioning by combining cutting edge style with functionality,” said Dilger.

The Photochangable ArtCool Inverter air-conditioner (RRP $1,699) comes in a variety of finishes including mirror, metal, wood, white wood, blue and cherry.

The new models also feature the 3D Air-Flow system for increase air distribution and the Neo Plasma Plus air purifying system that further enhances the sterilisation feature of air-conditioners for a healthier living environment.
