A new innovation from Seeley International means consumers will have one smart touchscreen device to control their heating and cooling products.
In its simplest form, the MagIQTouch Controller is a remote control for Seeley heating and cooling products, but the touchscreen gives it added functionality, such as guiding installers through the installation process, and displaying full details of a fault. The troubleshooting guide which once belonged in the instruction manual has been built-in to the controller and can be accessed for each fault by touching the ‘information’ button inside the fault description.
The MagIQTouch Controller was first released to the South Australian market in September 2013 for its evaporative cooling range of products. The product will be available this summer on Breezair evaporative coolers nationally, and by winter 2015, it will be available on ducted gas heating and integrated cooling products.
Frank Seeley AM, founder and executive chairman of Seeley International said like Seeley International’s other industry-leading products, it has been developed and is being manufactured right here in Australia.
Energy saving features include a built-in customisable seven day, four time period program mode to ‘set and forget’. The mode divides into four time periods, determined by the user, and selects which system mode will be operating in each time period. For example, energy consumption can be reduced by turning air conditioning down or off while room aren’t being used.
The controller also features an energy-saving night quiet mode – when turned on, the mode automatically reduces fan speed during the night for even greater economy and whisper quietness.
