Annual Golf Day with 1933 Perpetual Trophy up for grabs.

One of Australia’s longest serving Industry Associations, Energy Development Association Australia (EDAA) has continued to reinvent itself to meet disruptive times. Where it once was a voice within electricity generators, retailers, suppliers and the appliance service industry, it has now evolved to become a significant hub for members.

The EDAA enables them to meet and share thoughts along with holding functions and events to ensure the electrical appliance industry continues. The EDAA has also expanded its philanthropic role raising funds for distribution to various worthy organisations and charities with a strong connection to the Industry.

EDAA  secretary, Russ Geraghty, told Appliances Retailer that the next important event on its calender is the annual EDAA Charity Golf Day on Thursday, April 21. The major sponsors are Clipsal and Schneider Electric and all proceeds are in aid of Brain Cancer Research.

“The Day is an Four Ball Ambrose event at Nudgee Golf Club in Brisbane (registration, drinks and snacks from 9.00am, in the buggies and Shotgun start at 10.00am sharp) for $80 per player. Up for grabs is the Clipsal Cup Perpetual Trophy that has been the coveted Trophy first won in 1933, making it possibly the longest stayer in the industry,” he said.

Meanwhile, interested players can contact Kev Waller on 0499 658770 for a registration for their team.

Geraghty also advised that EDAA membership of $30 per annum is open to all who participate in any way with the industry and details are available from Peter Cosgrove at optimist@powerup.com.au.
