According to Kleenmaid Group Joint Administrator John Greig, all 150 Kleenmaid staff will be made redundant and customers will be left stranded without warranties.
“Unfortunately we have been unable to continue the employment of all 150 Kleenmaid staff,” said Greig.
But he did emphasise that 25 employees will return to Kleenmaid to provide assistance with the administration process and dealing with enquiries.
In addition to this it has also been revealed that all warranties for Kleenmaid products will not be honoured by administrators.
“Unfortunately Kleenmaid will not be in a position to honour any existing warranties and we advise warranty holders to contact the existing Kleenmaid service representatives who are all independent service franchisees to make arrangements to repair any faulty items at the customers’ cost,” said Greig.
In relation to existing stock, Greig commented that it will become available for franchisees but there is only a very small quantity currently available.
“We do have a small amount of stock that will be made available to franchisees without warranty, but this is likely to be exhausted very quickly as there is no intention to order any more stock from manufacturers or suppliers in the future,” he said.
If customers have any queries about the administration or their products they are advised to call the Kleenmaid customer service line on 1300 652 100.
