SYDNEY: Sony today released pricing for its new Bravia LCD TVs and announced it will conduct a national Bravia training program to bring retailers up to speed with the new products and technologies in the range.
Sony’s national training program will start in Perth on the 20 August and finishes in Launceston on the 9 October.
These sessions will highlight new Bravia technologies and features such as Motionflow 100Hz, a feature designed to eliminate motion judder – as well as x.v.Colour and Bravia Theatre Sync.
Training sessions will be held on the following dates:
WA Perth – 20-21 August at Burswood Entertainment Complex
NSW Sydney – 3-4 September at Sydney Olympic Park
QLD Brisbane – 10-11 September at Brisbane Convention & Entertainment Centre
VIC Melbourne – 18-19 September at the Docklands
SA Adelaide – 24-25 September at Adelaide Convention Centre
TAS Hobart – 8 October at Wrest Point Casino
Launceston – 9 October at Hotel Grand Chancellor
First announced late last month at the Sony Experience More trade show, the new Bravia LCD range includes over 25 models, including the company’s first 70-inch model, which will retail for RRP $69,999.
Sony has also boosted the number of full HD 1080p models in the range, with an entry-level full HD Bravia now starting at RRP $3,499 (see below for a full price list).
“With healthy local supply confirmed for Australia, we are ready to begin releasing our new Bravia products into the market,” said Sony Australia senior product manager – visual, Graham Keogh.
“As this range includes a host of new technologies, we want to ensure our retail partners are clear on the benefits each one brings to consumers and how they set Bravia apart from any other TV brand. With this range, Sony is confident Australians will embrace Full HD in increasing numbers.”
