Hisense is expanding its Laser offering with the launch of the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector, marking the first product in Hisense’s newly created Laser category – long-throw projection.

Hisense national training manager, Chris Mayer explains the capabilities of the latest addition to the company’s laser line-up.

“With the C1, we want to communicate to customers that they can use any surface or existing screen and produce a display from 65-inch to 300-inch, with the latter equal to 6.5 metres wide. This marks the beginning of a new category for Hisense, with most of our products in market currently ultra short throw and designed as TV alternatives,” he told Appliance Retailer.

“The C1 is our first product that can be seamlessly integrated into an existing cinema set-up. The projector self-calibrates and produces unparalleled brightness and accuracy with Dolby Vision.

“It’s such a versatile product because it can be set up in any room. With object avoidance, it recognises light switches or anything that will be in the way of the picture and adjusts the display to avoid it.

“At CES, we were also showing the ability to use two C1 projectors and blend the screens to create a single ultra-wide cinema screen. This is not an official feature just yet but it’s something that could be added via a firmware update.”
