SYDNEY: Sanyo has announced a revamp of its range of slim-line CRT televisions after the brand claimed its launch range of slimline CRT TVs sold out last year.
The two new models – the 51cm CP21YS2 and 68cm CP29YS2 offer a 20 per cent reduction in depth compared to standard CRT television models, and the unique space-saving design provides an LCD-like option, designed for smaller living spaces.
“The demand for our first range of slim-line CRT televisions was truly remarkable, with many stores selling out,” said Sanyo’s managing director Australia and New Zealand, Bill Crichton.
“We were one of the first companies to offer this technology and have now updated these popular models, which will complement our other ranges of LCD and plasma televisions.”
Sanyo believes the crisp images which CRT is renowned for, complemented by AV stereo surround sound, will produce high-quality three-dimensional sound effects for the best movie, television and gaming experience.
Additional features include DVD component input to connect with a DVD player and/or games machine, front and rear AV input to provide easy access to connection terminals and a rear monitor output to allow connection to another display device.
The CP21YS2 and CP29YS2 will be available in June from Big W, Kmart and Target.
