SYDNEY: Harvey Norman’s Rutland Smith told Current.com.au today that its first Fujifilm digital photography concept store within a store, which officially opens this Thursday 12 July, will be first of many more to come.
The concept store, to be located inside their flagship Sydney store at 504 Gardeners Road Alexandria, will be officially opened by Mr Shigetaka Komori, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fujifilm Holdings Corporation, Japan.
According to Rutland Smith, Harvey Norman’s general manager, computers and communication, “This is the first store of a concept we will be rolling out nationally.”
“We play a lead role in the Australian technology market as Australia’s leading electronics and IT retailer and we like to stay ahead of the game,” he said.
“We are launching the new retail concept to take advantage of our position as a leader in digital photography with our partners at Fujifilm."
“The concept will take the printing of digital photography to the next level and it will also capitalise on the growing trend of people using their mobile phones to take photographs.”
Fujifilm and Harvey Norman are current sponsorship partners of the rugby league State of Origin series.
