SYDNEY: Panasonic Australia has appointed former Apple Australia managing director, Ben Bowley, to the position of director – Business Systems Group, following the recent departure of Brendan Trewartha from the role.
Bowley will be responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing activities across Panasonic’s Business Systems technologies, which include commercial plasma, susiness and venue projectors, Toughbook ruggedised notebooks, broadcast cameras, multifunction colour copier/printers and interactive whiteboards.
“I am delighted to be joining Panasonic at such an exciting time for the company. Panasonic’s excellent product range, combined with its strong presence in the Australian market set the business systems group up for continued strong performance,” said Bowley.
According to Panasonic, Bowley has an extensive general management background including his time as managing director and marketing director at Apple. Bowley is also credited with spearheading the strategy to roll-out the chain of Apple Centre retail outlets across Australia.
Immediately prior to joining Panasonic, Bowley spent some time building a boutique aviation tourism business, which he recently sold.
“Ben has a track record in achieving excellent business performance, as well as significant channel management expertise,” said Panasonic Australia managing director, Steve Rust.
“He is a dynamic manager who will provide strong direction for the business systems team.”
