The Electrolux Australia and New Zealand business is embarking on a growth path to be headed by Derek Haley, who has seen an expansion of his current role as director of operations to now encompass growth with a new title, director of growth and operations.

The expanded role will see Haley focusing on the identification of development opportunities for business growth across all areas to gain an improved competitive market position.

“We are well placed to seek some real adjacencies to complement our existing business model. As we’ve already seen with acquisitions of existing businesses, such as BeefEater and Vintec, we have the demonstrated capability to add some exciting consumer offerings to our brand portfolio,” Haley commented.

“I am excited the opportunities this role creates for our business and also for developing opportunities for our people to further their careers.”

Following the departure of Chris Horne, Electrolux has appointed its national business manager for NARTA, Greg Calnon to head of key accounts, effective immediately.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that Greg Calnon has been promoted to the role of head of key accounts,” Electrolux director of sales, Chris Coen said.

“In his new role, Greg will oversee the key account team and our customer planning function. He brings extensive key account experience and has a proven ability to build and maintain strong working partnerships with our customers at all levels. He has a clear passion for the business and our people making him perfectly positioned to succeed in this role.”

Calnon joined Electrolux in 2017 as national sales manager for BeefEater. Prior to that, he held roles with LG and Panasonic.
