SYDNEY: Miele has announced a major model upgrade to its current Australian and New Zealand dishwasher range to include 16 model variations with freestanding, build-under, integrated and fully-integrated options available.
The progressive introduction of the new models will take place during August and September with a number of integrated models to be available in either stainless steel, white, black or aluminium design.
“Focusing on the specific requirements for local market conditions, all new models will feature at least six programs, including an automatic ‘SensorWash’ program and a ‘QuickWash’ program with an overall running time of over half an hour,” said Miele in a statement today.
“Most models will also feature Miele’s new ‘Turbo’ function, which according to Miele will cut the duration of standard wash programs by up to 40 minutes without compromising on the cleaning or drying performance.
“Consumption figures have also been optimised further, with some models now boasting a four-star WELS water efficiency rating when tested to the applicable Australian Standards.”
Premium washers in the range will feature the ‘AutoClose’ function, a motor-assisted latching mechanism which allows the door to be closed with minimal physical effort. According to Miele, the new heavy-duty variable-speed pump will allow spray pressure to be tailored to meet the specific requirements of certain programs, while at the same functioning at 41 decibels – which Miele claims is only marginally louder than the rustling of leaves in a gentle breeze.
Other features to be included in the 2007 range include the ‘Add items’ indicator, which informs the user of the point up to which items may still be added in the cycle, as well as the ‘DryingPlus’ function, which automatically opens the dishwasher door by a few centimeters to optimise drying results.
The 2007 dishwasher range will include the G2832SCi (RRP $3,299), G2872SCVi (RRP$2,999), G2243SCu (RRP $1,899), G1243SC (RRP $1,699) and the G1102SC (RRP $1,499).
