Hisense is set to launch more ConnectLife-enabled home appliances in Australia in 2024.

Available on Apple iOS and Android smartphones, ConnectLife makes it easy to manage and monitor Hisense’s compatible smart home appliances, while monitoring home energy and water usage.

At CES 2024, Hisense demonstrated how ConnectLife will integrate with its 2024 TV and Laser range through its proprietary operating system, VIDAA for the first time in Australia, enabling smart home control on-screen and within the ConnectLife app.

“Since the introduction of ConnectLife in Australia, we have seen our customers enjoy an array of benefits from smart home integration for compatible Hisense fridges, washer/dryers, air conditioning systems and dishwashers, as well as better energy and water management that can help save household spending on utilities bills,” Hisense ANZ head of marketing, Gideon Lui said.

“In 2024, we will be extending the opportunity for integrated experiences with a broader range of ConnectLife features including our new TV range. We look forward to delivering a true connected home experience, designed to enhance the lives of our customers and positively impact the environment around them.”

Hisense demonstrated its expanded range of ConnectLife-enabled products including refrigerators, dishwashers, and laundry appliances, which will become available in Australia. Hisense reinforced its commitment to the Matter platform through demonstrations of Matter-certified devices, which will be coming to Australia in the future.

At CES 2024, Hisense also demonstrated the future of cooking and whole home automation with the new ProChef@Home experience.

While a concept at this stage, the newly imagined software platform will see customers turn TV content into cooking inspiration. Users will be able to view cooking content from their VIDAA-powered Smart TV, save favourite recipes, and access them from Hisense connected appliances and smart home devices.

Taking this a step further, Hisense envisions a connected kitchen that uses AI – from adjusting recipes for specific dietaries or preferences through to creating new recipes, with the option of selecting a fusion cuisine. ConnectLife-enabled fridges can check inventory and place an order for any missing ingredients. Beyond these functions, the platform can start appliances remotely, deliver step by step recipe guidance, and send push notifications to the TV.

“We see a future for Hisense customers experiencing the best in connected devices where each product becomes more than the sum of its parts and truly delivers an intuitive, convenient and unified experience,” Lui added.
