ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled its range of new and exclusive performance-focused products at a virtual launch event for CES 2024.

The gaming solutions are designed for playing games at home and on the go with fast displays, laptops with blazing speed and high-level graphics, and the most powerful gaming phone on the market, the ROG Phone 8.

ROG Zephyrus Series

The new ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops incorporate a redesigned premium aluminium chassis, available in Eclipse Gray and Platinum White. The G14 measures just 1.59cm thin and weighs 1.5kg, while the 1.49cm-thin G16 weighs 1.85kg. The signature Slash Lighting LED bar on the chassis enhances personalisation of the previous generation.

The G14 and G16 are the first laptops to feature ROG Nebula Display OLED panels. With the G14 boasting a 3K 120Hz panel, and the G16 sporting a 2.5K 240Hz display, both feature a 16:10 aspect ratio, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos audio quality are complemented by built-in HD cameras.

Designed for gamers, creators, and designers, the G14 delivers an AMD Ryzen 9 8940H processor and the G16 with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 185H making it one of the best portable laptops. Both laptops are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs and ROG Intelligent Cooling solutions for optimal performance. 

The ROG Zephyrus G16 is now available at ASUS e-Shop, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and channel partners for RRP up to $3,799. The ROG Zephyrus G14 will be available in Australia in mid-February. 

ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18

The thermal design of the ROG Strix SCAR 16 and 18 includes tri-fan technology and full-surround vents to ensure optimal cooling. The Mini LED 2.5K (2,560×1,600) 240Hz ROG Nebula HDR displays, including ROG’s first 18-inch Mini LED display have up to a 90% screen-to-body ratio and quad-speaker Dolby Atmos audio. Other key features include Thunderbolt 4, 2.5 Gbps LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 90Wh battery with 100W USB-C charging. The ROG Strix SCAR G16 and SCAR G18 are available at ASUS e-Shop and channel partners for RRP $4,999 and $7,699 respectively.

ROG Strix G16 and G18

The ROG Strix G16 and G18 offer a powerful gaming experience with the Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 laptop GPU. With two unique designs and up to a 90% screen-to-body ratio, the Strix G series provides 16-inch and 18-inch 2.5K (2,560×1,600) 240Hz ROG Nebula displays featuring Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. Gamer-friendly features include a wide touchpad, large arrow keys, Thunderbolt 4 support, per-key RGB keyboard, 1Gbps LAN, Wi-Fi 6E and 720p HD camera. The 90Wh battery and 100W USB-C charging ensure on-the-go gaming without compromising performance. ROG Strix G18 is now available at JB Hi-Fi for RRP $5,999.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 and Phone 8 Pro

The ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro cater to gamers, streamers, content creators, and more, with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, advanced AI capabilities, including X-Sense 2.0, AI Grabber, semantic search and AI noise cancellation.

The phones integrate advanced internal cooling mechanisms including the Rapid-Cooling Conductor and gaming-friendly AI features like background mode and X Capture to elevate the gaming experience. Thinner than their predecessors, the phones boast a 5,500mAh battery with wireless charging and 6.78-inch Samsung E6 flexible AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The rear triple camera system excels with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabiliser 3.0, 13MP ultrawide camera and 32MP telephoto camera. Dirac Virtuo for Headphone technology provides virtual surround sound.
