SYDNEY: Sony will roll out a new television commercial for its Cyber-shot T series digital still cameras this weekend promoting the Smile Shutter function found on its latest models.

The campaign will commence on Sunday and will be supported by in-store promotions such as POS materials and with an online promotion at the www.sony.com.au/gallery giving consumers the chance to win one of 12 Sony T200 cameras.

“With the new Smile Shutter and through this campaign, we’re demonstrating how effortless it is to capture moments using Cyber-shot cameras,” said Sony Australia head of strategy and brand development, Toby Barbour.

“With the addition of this function and the best combination of imaging technologies, we’ve created the most intuitive package for taking beautiful digital images.”

The campaign will feature the tagline, “as effortless as a smile itself”, reinforcing the Cyber-shot ranges’ ease of use.

According to a media release today by Sony, “TVC showcases a series of images that reflect the intuitive nature of the new T200 and T70 digital cameras which, using the Smile Shutter function, automatically identify when someone is smiling and immediately take a shot without you needing to press the shutter, simplifying the process of photographing difficult-to-shoot subjects.”
