The latest product in the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal outdoor cooking range, the 4K, has picked up a 2019 Red Dot award for product design. It brings to five the number of Red Dot awards already received for the Hub, Fusion, Furnace and Force charcoal cooking appliances.
The 4K features a touch-glass control, Fast Flame Ignition System, adjustable air vents, integrated temperature probes and Bluetooth app to monitor temperatures. It competed with more than 5,500 products from 55 countries in the 2019 competition, one of the world’s largest design competitions.
Products are judged on level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, longevity and ergonomics.
Red Dot CEO Professor Peter Zec said that the products were able to satisfy the strict criteria of the jury bears testimony to their award-winning design quality. “The laureates are setting a key trend in the design industry and showing where future directions may lead.”
The Red Dot award ceremony takes place on July 8, in Essen, Germany.
