SYDNEY: Glem Gas Appliances has announced it has relocated into new premises which it says is twice the size of its existing location.
“We are very excited about the new premises, they symbolise the continuing development of Glem Gas as a brand and the commitment of a dedicated supplier to the Australian cooking appliance market,” said Glem Gas Appliances general manager, David Gilmore.
“Allowances have been made for the anticipated growth over the next five years and for the 2007 introduction of the new Glem and Emilia built-in range.”
Still located in the western Sydney suburb of Granville, the new premises at 25-26/10 Straits Avenue, South Granville,
New South Wales is situated only 200 metres from the company’s existing location.
Telephone and fax numbers will remain unchanged at the new premises and the postal address will now be PO Box 63 Blaxcell PO South Granville, NSW, 2142.
“The new facility has two new warehouses for spare parts and product development, an expanded office area for sales, marketing, administration and customer service and a second building for housing the showroom, training and working kitchen facilities.”
The new larger premises will allow Glem Gas to further exploit the advantage it derives from being a factory-owned subsidiary.
“We have not previously exploited the advantage of being the manufacturer. Because we are the factory, I can gets parts tomorrow if need be. This year, we are certainly reaping the benefits available to us – in fact it is our best year ever,” said Gilmore.
Glem Gas released 11 new gas cooktops this year including three induction cooktops, three ceramic cooktops, a 60cm pyrolitic single oven and a 60cm pyrolitic double oven.
“We are entering the pyrolitic and induction categories as we have realised that there is increasing consumer interest in these technologies. As a new entrant to the segment, we can offer a very strong value proposition to retailers and consumers.”
