De’Longhi Australia has unveiled the Ballerina breakfast range, developed in partnership with renowned Italian visual artist Marco Lodola.

The Ballerina Collection offers a sophisticated, unique design and colour palette, inspired by the century-long tradition of Murano glass. De’Longhi has replicated the uniqueness of a precious handicraft object in an industrial product.

Inspired by its bespoke, delicate shape – similar to a plissé gown of a ballerina costume – Lodola has created an exclusive piece of work titled ‘Wake up to Creativity’ using white, black and green for a two and four-slice toaster, as well as a 1.7-litre kettle.

According to Lodola, white is the epitome of pureness and spirituality. Its opalescence immediately reminds one of glass, the wise artisanship to create it and its exquisite finishing. Ballerina’s opaline white will bring light and joy to the kitchen.

Black stands for the end, like the night, closing each day. It also stands for the absence of everything, the absence from which any new inspiration is born. Furnace black is the epitome of elegance and the spark that ignites creativity.

Green is the colour of nature and represents the constant stream of life; it instils calmness, reducing mental stress and favouring clarity of mind. Add a touch of blue to travel across time and land in the enchanting Venetian.

The four-slice toaster retails for $149 with the two-slice toaster and kettle retailing for $119 each.
