Contestants on Channel 9 reality TV series, The Block, revealed their laundries on Sunday night with each house incorporating Bosch laundry appliances, as part of Bosch’s partnership with the show.

In house 1, Ronnie and Georgia chose a Bosch Series 8 washing machine and heat pump dryer, each with a 9kg capacity.

Awarded with the March 2021 CHOICE recommendation, the Series 8 washing machine features ActiveWater Plus sensor technology that adapts the water flow automatically to the load size allowing smaller loads to be washed as efficiently as full loads, while the EcoSilence Drive promises quieter operation. The SpeedPerfect and EcoPerfect functions reduce time by up to 65% and energy by up to 50% respectively.

The Bosch Series 8 heat pump dryer boasts an 8-star energy rating and with automatic condenser cleaning, users are guaranteed ongoing high drying performance with low energy consumption.

Bosch heat pump dryers use ActiveAir technology that reuses existing heat efficiently during the entire drying process. This model features a Sensitive Drying System, where laundry is dried by mild, warm air coming from all sides and is gently mixed by the curving soft carriers.

In house 2, Mitch and Mark also decided on Bosch Series 8 laundry appliances with the washing machine and dryer offering Home Connect technology to control and monitor the appliances via smartphone or tablet.

The German-made Series 8 washing machine features a 10kg capacity and 4D wash system which reduces the wash time by providing a highly efficient delivery of water and detergent. The Bosch i-DOS detergent system works out the precise detergent amount for each wash cycle to save water and detergent.

The Series 8 heat pump dryer offers AutoClean technology that minimises the need to clean the lint filter. With Home Connect and Smart Dry, this dryer automatically selects the best drying program based on the last washing cycle.

In house 3, Tanya and Vito chose the Bosch Series 8 Home Connect washing machine and dryer pair for their laundry, along with a stacking kit to have them positioned on top of each other.

The Series 8 washing machine features the i-DOS detergent system which uses special sensors to detect the load weight and fabric type and degree of soiling so that the laundry is washed with the optimal amount of detergent. The EcoSilence Drive motor in the washing machine sets a new benchmark in energy efficiency while also being one of the quietest motors in its class.

The Bosch Series 8 dryer features AutoDry, which gently processes laundry to the desired level of dryness. Special sensors measure both the temperature and wetness to protect laundry from excessively high temperatures, over-drying and shrinking. ActiveAir technology makes these heat pump dryers among the most economical dryers in Australia.

In house 4, Josh and Luke selected a German-made Bosch Series 8 washing machine with an 8kg capacity, and a Bosch Series 8 heat pump dryer with a 9kg capacity, both with a wide array of features.

The AllergyPlus program in this washing machine is ideal for people with allergies or sensitive skin. The specially designed wash cycle, longer temperature stages and an additional rinse reduce allergenic residues, meaning fewer pollen particles, animal hairs and dust mites on freshly washed clothes.

This Series 8 washing machine also features VarioPerfect to switch between the SpeedPerfect and EcoPerfect wash modes on most programs, depending on whether the user needs optimum wash results quickly, or would prefer to wash more energy efficiently.

The Series 8 heat pump dryer offers excellent energy efficiency with an 8-star rating. The SelfCleaning Condenser technology automatically cleans the condenser up to four times during the drying process, which ensures the dryer runs efficiently, cycle after cycle. The AntiVibration side walls provide stability and reduce vibration, in addition to enhanced insulation.

In house, Kirsty and Jesse decided on a 10kg Series 6 washing machine and 8-star energy rated Series 6 heat pump dryer for their laundry, complete with a stacking kit to place them in a vertical configuration.

A 10kg laundry load capacity is suitable for large families or those with extra laundry requirements, while the Super15 program can wash up to 2kg of lightly soiled laundry in just 15 minutes.

Bosch washing machines also feature a Reload function to add in any missed items into the load even after the machine has started. Because users can open the entire door, they can even add larger items such as shirts or sheets at almost any stage of the washing cycle.

The Bosch Series 6 heat pump dryer uses ActiveAir technology that saves energy by reusing existing heat efficiently during the drying process. The AutoDry feature saves time and energy by automatically stopping the drying process once it’s complete. For regular items select the Cupboard dry option, and for thicker garments use Cupboard Dry Plus. For items such as shirts that require ironing, users can select the Iron Dry lowest drying setting to prepare garments for ironing by producing a slightly damp result.
