Smeg Australia has partnered with Australian football team, Sydney FC, the first time Smeg has sponsored football.

Smeg Australia managing director, Wayne Campbell said the company is delighted to join the Sky Blue family and partner with a team much loved by so many football fans.

“We know Sydney FC holds a very special place in many people’s hearts and through our upcoming partnership activities, we are excited to share our signature technology with style in a different way to a wider audience,” he said.

Sydney FC and Smeg will launch a new social media series featuring their products in the coming months, while also enjoying a range of benefits at Sydney FC’s home games.

Sharing Sydney FC’s family values and penchant for style, Smeg will continue in the Sky Blues’ Italian footprint, with the club continuing to resonate with the European nation following Alessandro Del Piero’s signing in 2012.

The partnership brings to bear five years of international presence from Sydney FC, whilst continuing to deliver on the Sky Blues’ exceptional domestic reach following over four years of unprecedented success as Australia’s most successful football club.

Sydney FC chief executive officer, Danny Townsend said he was excited to welcome Smeg to the Sky Blue family.

“Smeg and Sydney FC both cherish a rich family history and I’m delighted that we’re able to partner together for the future of our game,” he said. “I’m looking forward to celebrating more on field success with Smeg, whilst also continuing to engage with our members, usher in our Centre of Excellence and new stadium and celebrate the 2023 Women’s World Cup.”
