Catch.com.au has welcomed Tomas Varsavsky as its new chief product and technology officer to lead platform development as the company strengthens its momentum in the Australian market.

He brings more than 20 years’ experience in product development underpinned by technology and data and was listed as one of the top 50 chief information officers in Australia in both 2018 and 2019.

Prior to Catch, Varsavsky was the chief technology and data officer at REA Group and was a former principal consultant with ThoughtWorks where he consulted to many organisations including Lonely Plant and ANZ on areas such as agile methodologies, software development, IT strategy and IT architecture.

In a statement shared with Appliance Retailer, Catch said, “Varsavsky’s passion for building product and technology teams, while ensuring fun along the way, is well aligned with the playful culture at Catch. His pragmatic commercial mindset will be an undeniable asset as Catch continues to grow in the online retail space in the coming years.”
