SYDNEY, NSW: The Strathfield board has announced that finance director, Emil Dimitrov, will retire as the company’s executive director, effective immediately.

The retailer made the announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange yesterday.

Dimitrov joined Strathfield’s board in December 2008 and has been instrumental in helping the struggling company in executing its restructure and turnaround, said the company.

“I am grateful to Mr Dimitrov for his input and support throughout the period since joining the board,” said Strathfield chairman, Skaiste Rodriguez.

While Dimitrov will remain as a non-executive director, his previous duties as finance director will be assumed by Strathfield’s chief financial officer.
