SYDNEY: Maytag has announced it will launch its new kitchen integration collection and a range of new laundry appliances at an exclusive gala event held to mark the brand’s 100th anniversary.

The gala event, to be held at the Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne on 4 Septemberwill mark Maytag’s 100th birthday, with TV host and comedian, Julia Zemiro, to host the event along with special guests Michael Lambie, one of Australia’s leading chefs, Jeff Kennett and comedian Peter Rowsthorn.

Maytag’s new kitchen range will include ovens, cooktops, uprights, coffee machines, microwaves and a dishwasher, all designed to integrate with Maytag’s existing premium refrigeration range.

“With over 30 years experience in kitchen appliance in both the European and USA markets, Maytag’s new cooking collection will feature the latest technology and features available,” said Maytag Australia category manager – cooking, Aaron Drummond.

“Maytag’s brand new laundry range of appliances offers customers the quality and style that Maytag is known for with a range of premium features and capacities,” said Maytag Australia senior category manager – laundry, Michael van Raay.

“With 100 years of experience in manufacturing premium laundry appliances, Maytag has always been at the forefront of design and manufacture. Our brand new range continues to offer the best in modern design and functionality,” he said.

Maytag introduced its first washing machine in 1907, known as “The Pastime Washer”.
