SYDNEY: Philips has released four new entertainment devices including a 4GB portable audio/video player and a unique portable DVD player with iPod docking station able to simultaneously play and charge an iPod.

As revealed at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the DCP750 (RRP $319.95) iPod docking portable entertainment system features a seven-inch swivel screen and car kit ensuring the player stays charged while on the road.

Additionally, the docking station will charge an iPod while viewing, with the unit’s own built-in rechargeable battery delivering up to 2.5 hours of playback time. It also features a memory card reader, remote control, DivX playback, travel bag as well as DVD±R and DVD±RW, (S)VCD and mpeg4 compatibility.

In addition, Philips is also releasing the PET708 (RRP $369.95) featuring dual seven-inch LCD screens, a travel bag and a Smart Car Mount for safe and easy set-up. The unit will feature up to 2.5 hours of playback time and dual headset jacks for sharing entertainment while on the move.

Also new for Philips this month are two portable audio/video devices, the 2GB SA3125 (RRP $139.95) and the 4GB SA6045 (RRP $239.95), providing users access to music, photos and video anywhere, anytime.

Both units support mp3 and wma audio playback as well as being equipped with an FM radio and an internal battery that can be recharged easily via a USB connection to a PC.

The SA3125 can playback up to 10 hours of audio and two hours of video from the internal battery, while the SA6045 can play four hours of video content and 15 hours while in audio mode.
