Growth continues after acquisition.
JB Hi-Fi has been announced as the latest addition to the Narellan Town Centre’s new line up of stores. The store will be the second JB Hi-Fi in the Macarthur region joining the existing store at Macarthur Square. It will also be joined by a Target department store in the near future.
JB Hi-Fi national property manager, Bruce Sinclair told Appliance Retailer, that the store is expected to open in April 2017. “The store will be comparable to our other stores with a footprint of approximately 1652 metres and around 40 staff on a full-time, part-time and casual basis. It will also stock our full range of products.
“Narellan is a growth corridor in Sydney with a growing population and we are excited to be expanding our presence in the area.”
The announcement follows JB Hi Fi’s acquisition of The Good Guys which has the potential to increase The Good Guys’ footprint by four to five stores per year over the next three years, in addition to the continuation of the JB Hi-Fi store rollout.
JB Hi-Fi is also expected to boost domestic appliance sales by a forecast $2 billion to reach $4.41 billion.
