Having spent the past 12 months in full-blown Generation 6000 mode, Miele is consolidating rather than unveiling at EuroCucina in 2014, showcasing its colourful PureLine range in situ at its stand. Not one to miss an opportunity, however, the German company did reveal four new handles that customers can opt for on their new premium kitchen appliance.

The new handles are called Gold, Vitro, Nature and Classic and are available with the four Generation 6000 colours revealed last year (Clean Steal, Obsidian Black, Brilliant White and Havana Brown {marketed as ‘Mink’ in Australia}).

While this reporter must admit some scepticism when first shown the Havana Brown style, when laid out in a kitchen setting with complementary furnishings and homewares, it did look very attractive:

Although this was a happy surprise, there was no doubt which colour was attracting the most attention on the opening day of the show. Brilliant White was like a magnet to the trade visitors and, judging by the number of brands prominently featuring white ovens at EuroCucina; for example, Smeg and Bosch; this is definitely looking like a major trend for the next 24 months and beyond.
